The tree in my painting, Mighty Oak, fills up the entire surface with its rich green foliage, strong trunk, and limbs. I chose to use this close-up view, along with the vibrant colors of alcohol inks against the glossy finish of the Yupo paper to accentuate the strength and boldness of the image. By painting the tree with thick foliage, I hoped to capture for the viewer the strength, beauty, and refreshing coolness that is the essence of an oak tree in the summertime.

Local pick-up is available at Leigh’s Studio at VAPA in uptown, Charlotte, NC, with no shipping charges. Otherwise, choose the Standard Shipping option at checkout. Please allow up to two to three weeks for Leigh to process and ship your painting. A tracking number will be provided when shipped.

Alcohol Ink Prints on Paper and Aluminum

Alcohol Ink Prints on paper are printed on Luster Semi-matte Photo and Art Paper, straight cut edges with a 1 inch white border. If desired, you can have your local frame shop matte and frame it to suit your décor.

Alcohol Ink Prints on Aluminum

Alcohol Ink Prints on aluminum use the Chromalux dye sublimation process to directly infuse the image into a white semi-gloss coating on an American made aluminum substrate. The aluminum substrate is mounted on a silver 1-1/4” framed-to -edge frame with an integral wire hanger.
